Platypus Egg began back in 2008. United by their fascination with experimental music, they began to explore a way to make music that could bridge all their tastes. Their sound slowly morphed from jarring, and at times uncomfortable to a coherent, vulnerable voice. Fans usually say "You won't get it by just listening to one song.
